$1,000 of real gold to be found at The Gympie Gold Rush Festival Family Gold Panning Fun Day at The Gympie and District Historical Society on Saturday 10^th October to Sunday 11^th October from 9am to 4pm.

Live the exhilaration and fun the original Gold Rush prospectors experienced 100 years ago in Gympie.

Keep all the gold you find in your pan!

All children under 12years of age are guaranteed to find gold!

Expert panners will be on hand to show you how to pan for gold

Special $2 sausage sizzles all day

Pan painting competition! The theme of this year will be “in the beginning” The pan is available at the Museum.

First prize for the best painting is $100.

 Second prize is $50.00

 Third prize is $25.00

All pans to be auctioned on the day. Artists will share in the proceeds of the auction.

Entrance to the museum will be half price all weekend
